CHARLOTTE, NC. — Dog wellness brand WagWell entered a new segment of the pet nutrition market on April 18 with the launch of its new Freeze-Dried Treats. The new products align with the company’s commitment to sustainability and functional nutrition, and add to its existing lineup of dog supplements touting Ahiflower Omega Oil.

The new single-ingredient treats are fully cooked, highly palatable and feature only high-quality, minimally processed and human-grade ingredients, according to the company. They are currently available in two recipes: Beef and Cheese.

Freeze-Dried Treats by WagWell are manufactured in the United States, formulated without corn, wheat, soy or fillers, and microbe tested to validate safety and quality. They can be used as a treat, a high-protein snack and as a food topper.

The treats are available online through wagwellpet.com and Amazon, and will enter select goop stores in May (goop is a curated retail platform by Gwyneth Paltrow).

“In our mission of creating the trusted go-to dog wellness platform, we are proud to launch the first of its kind fully cooked, freeze-dried treats,” said William Smolen, co-founder and chief executive officer of WagWell. “We are excited to partner with goop, which leads the industry in our aligned values of wellness, innovation and intentional ingredients, to offer our treats in their retail stores.”

WagWell introduced its inaugural supplement line in September 2023, which are formulated with a plant-based source of Omega fatty acids and a host of all-natural, human-grade ingredients designed to target common need states in canines. The line currently includes Ahiflower Omega Chews, Allergy & Itch Chews, Calming Chews, Mobility Chews and a Probiotic supplement.
