MONROVIA, CALIF. — On July 6, SuperZoo detailed its event lineup including new features, educational sessions, grooming contests, an exclusive networking event and more. The tradeshow will occur Aug. 23 to 25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“We are counting down the days until the pet industry gathers again in Las Vegas at SuperZoo for what is certain to be the industry’s most dynamic and productive event of the year,” said Vic Mason, president of the World Pet Association (WPA), host of SuperZoo. “With nearly 1,000 exhibitors, 70 expert-led educational seminars and nine grooming contests, the 2022 show truly has something for everyone in the industry. And this year, we can’t wait to wrap up the show with a networking beach party where pet professionals can celebrate all they have accomplished over the past year.”

SuperZoo 2022 will include a 300,000-square-foot show floor, which will feature the largest collection of pet products in North America and almost 1,000 exhibitors. This year, the show floor will include five specialty product areas: Natural and Health, Specialty and Lifestyle, Farm and Feed, Aquatics, Reptiles and Small Animals, and Groomer’s Marketplace.

The show floor will also include a New Products Showcase with more than 700 product debuts. As part of the New Products Showcase, a panel of pet industry experts will present several awards in 10 product categories and select a winner of the Judges Award for New-to-Market Pet Product, which will be announced August 23.

Hand-picked startups will also be showcased in the Emerging Brands area of the show floor. The companies selected to participate in the Emerging Brands area will be featured as the year’s best new innovators and entrepreneurs.

SuperZoo’s robust educational lineup will consist of 70 sessions by nearly 30 industry expert speakers from August 22 to 25. Educational sessions will span a variety of topics in pet retail, grooming and show floor talks at booth #5725. Specialty educational sessions for groomers will aid in their preparation for the Professional Grooming Credential (PGC) exam, which will also take place during the tradeshow.

The tradeshow will also feature grooming contests, awarding nearly $35,000 to many grooming professionals. Contests will feature various divisions based on breed classes, and winners will be awarded for Best First-Time Competitor, Best International Competitor and Best Pet Stylist in Show prizes. The grooming contests will also include specialized contests like the Creative Styling Competition, the Wahl Clipper Classic, the All Breed Model Dog Challenge and the Super Jackpot Contest.

On August 24, SuperZoo will host an exclusive Beach Party, providing pet industry professionals time to network. The networking event will feature music, a happy hour and hors d’oeuvres.
