BOULDER, COLO. — The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) announced on March 14 that it would be showcasing sustainable brands, revealing new programming and hosting an event at Global Pet Expo from March 23 to 25. The coalition will also be present at the expo at booth No. 655 with its team.

At its booth, PSC will feature products from companies that have received the PSC Accreditation, focusing on two key areas: Earth Defenders and Social Stewards. Earth Defenders are companies that have exceeded in natural resource management of greenhouse gases, water and environmentally preferable materials. Social Stewards are companies that provide exceptional employee support, pay a livable wage and maintain policies protecting all their employees’ rights. Check out more on the accredited sustainable brands that will be showcased.

On March 24 at 3 p.m., PSC will host an event at its booth with its partner IndiePet. Open to both IndiePet and PSC members as well as sustainable pet retailers, the event will include mini presentations from four PSC Accredited brands.

After the presentations, PSC will host a networking opportunity, sponsored by Petcurean, in which it will release news on its new Packaging Pledge, plans for the Earth Day Rally, and the latest on the Flex Forward program.

The coalition’s new Packaging Pledge aims to help brands transition to more sustainable packaging, including recyclable, refillable or compostable solutions. Companies that sign on to the Pet Sustainability Packaging Pledge commit to transitioning to 100% sustainable packaging by 2025.

PSC will also release more information on the launch of its Earth Day Rally, beginning Friday, April 22. The rally will feature a 30-day sprint to inspire more sustainable actions and will be open to individuals as well as teams and companies.
