ST. LOUIS — Nestlé Purina PetCare announced May 7 that its Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets range is now available via e-commerce retail giant Amazon, enhancing the accessibility of therapeutic nutrition to consumers and their pets.

“Nutrition is a crucial aspect to maintaining the health and wellbeing of our pets,” said Doug DeWilde, vice president, managing director of veterinary sales with Purina. “With the addition of Pro Plan Veterinary Diets to our Amazon store, we’re giving pet owners convenient access to the full range of advanced nutrition, treats and supplements that will help them and their pets live their best lives possible.”

The Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets join the company’s line of treats and supplements on the e-commerce platform. The complete-and-balanced diets provide advanced, targeted nutrition to support various health needs in dogs and cats. Available only through a prescription, each food features a precise formula to help pets manage certain health conditions diagnosed by a veterinarian, according to Purina.

The line includes more than 30 different formulas covering an array of health issues, including: HA Hydrolyzed® Formulas, made with hydrolyzed protein that is less likely to cause adverse food reactions in certain pets; EN Gastroenteric® Formulas, made with high-quality ingredients and a prebiotic fiber to support digestive health and the microbiome; and UR Urinary® Ox/St™ Formulas, which are specifically designed to help reduce the risk of urinary stone formation.

Additionally, Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements has unleashed its newest product: Multi Care canine supplement. The supplement is formulated with multi-active blends, including prebiotic fiber, a pro- and postbiotic, Omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E, zinc and biotin to address several areas of dog health. Multi Care is specifically designed to help support skin, digestive and immune health in a single chew.

Multi Care joins several other Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements. The range currently includes Joint Care, which supports mobility in canines; HydraCare, which promotes hydration in felines; FortiFlora, which supports digestive health; and Calming Care, which supports calm behavior.
