NEW YORK — Carnivore Meat Company and identity Pet Nutrition, two pet food brands on high growth paths, have been named to Inc.’s 2024 Regionals list of fastest-growing privately held companies based in the United States. Both appeared under the Consumer Products category of this year’s list.

Green Bay, Wis.-based Carnivore Meat Company, whose flagship brand is Vital Essentials, was ranked No. 123 in the Midwest region. The freeze-dried raw pet food company posted 80% revenue growth from 2020 to 2022. Formerly led by Chief Executive Officer Lanny Viegut, the company recently appointed Heather Govea to CEO as it looks to accelerate growth moving forward

Windsor, Colo.-based instinct Pet Nutrition ranked No. 37 in the Rocky Mountains region with two-year revenue growth of 121%. The brand focuses on canned and gently cooked human-grade pet food and treat products.

Companies considered for Inc.’s Regionals must have been founded by March 31, 2020, and operate as independent, for-profit organizations rather than subsidiaries or divisions of larger companies as of Dec. 31, 2022, according to Inc. These companies also had to post a minimum revenue of $100,000 in 2020 and $1 million in 2022, as well as go through an editorial review process by the Inc. team.
