MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS — Mid America Pet Food (MAPF), the manufacturer of VICTOR Super Premium Pet Food, was recognized by the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) for its conservation and positive impact initiatives. PSC has deemed the company as an Accredited Business, acknowledging both MAPF and VICTOR as sustainable businesses that are creating a positive impact for people, pets and the planet.

According to MAPF, its accreditation was based on its impressive performance measured against the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The company was recognized for its high scores for SDG 3, Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 6, Clean Water and Sanitation segments.

“Over the past year, we’ve increased our investment and focused on ways we can make a positive impact on the outdoor spaces we love and the people in our communities – I’m very proud of this recognition from the Pet Sustainability Coalition,” said Greg Cyr, chief executive officer, MAPF. “We look forward to continuing to improve as we aspire to take a leadership position in working to help protect the outdoors and foster a healthy and active life for the pets who are always by our side for generations to come.”

According to MAPF, VICTOR is well known for supporting its community and the planet. The brand is a supporter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and is also a sponsor of This Able Veteran, a non-profit providing service dogs to veterans. MAPF also offers a 100% employer-funded healthcare option for its associates.

Currently, MAPF’s brand portfolio includes Nature’s Logic, Eagle Mountain and Wayne Feeds, as well as VICTOR. Nature’s Logic earned PSC’s accreditation in 2020 with the support of David Yaskulka, senior vice president of corporate social responsibility at MAPF.

“This is a wonderful first step in our journey to elevate our corporate social responsibility,” Yaskulka said. “MAPF is helping lead the way in safeguarding the health and well-being of pets, and for the people who work hard every day to make their food. We are also thankful to the PSC for this recognition, and for the tools that help us improve every day.”
