MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS — Mid America Pet Food (MAPF) announced the appointment of Donald Young to chief revenue officer on Sept. 12.

Young has more than 20 years of experience in the pet industry, most recently serving as executive vice president of sales at the Better Choice Company. He also served as vice president of sales at Merrick Pet Care and held several sales positions at The Nutro Company.

“Welcoming an industry veteran like Donald to our executive team is a big win for us, our individual brands, and our partners,” said Greg Cyr, president and chief executive officer of MAPF. “As our Mid America Pet Food brands continue to grow, we look forward to the leadership and vision he’ll bring to our sales organization. Adding him to our executive team presents an exciting opportunity as we continually work to be a strong and valued partner for our distributors and retailers.”

In his new role, Young will join MAPF’s executive team. He will oversee the company’s selling organization for both its VICTOR Super Premium Pet Food and Nature’s Logic brands, and be responsible for revenue and sales in domestic and international markets. Young will report to Cyr.
