MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS — On May 9, Mid America Pet Food (MAPF) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of its newest facility. The company invested $40 million in the project.

The new facility was constructed to help MAPF meet increasing demand and to help sustain its strong growth. The company has grown considerably since its founding in 2007, expanding its offerings from the VICTOR Super Premium Pet brand to include Nature’s Logic®, Wayne™ Feeds and Eagle Mountain Pet Food® brands. According to MAPF, it has a 30% CAGR over the past seven years.

MAPF’s facility spans over 115,000 square feet and houses office space, a new extruder and high-speed packaging lines to boost capacity. It also includes extensive warehouse space, increasing the company’s space for holding finished products threefold. The new facility will provide additional support to MAPF’s existing facility in East Texas, which manufactures kibble products for VICTOR, Eagle Mountain and Wayne Feeds brands.

“Being a strong partner for our distributors and retailers is a key focus of ours,” said Greg Cyr, president and chief executive officer of Mid America Pet Food. “We’ve sustained impressive year over year growth for the past 10 years and this plant expansion and capacity project was an exciting and important next step for us to continue delivering premium nutrition to new and existing consumers across all our brands. Mid America Pet Food is growing quickly, we’ve established ourselves well within the industry and we look forward to the opportunities this new facility will bring.”
