BERKELEY, CALIF. — Jiminy’s, a sustainable pet food and treat company, announced May 16 that Jim Sharp has been appointed to chief customer officer. For more than 25 years, Sharp has worked in the pet industry, holding important roles in the Pet Sustainability Coalition and IndiePet.

Prior to Jiminy’s, Sharp worked at several Fortune 500 companies, including Pepsi Cola, Colgate-Palmolive and Nestlé Purina. He has also worked for pet brand manufacturers Plato, Zukes and Dogswell, and pet distributor Pet Food Experts.

“Jim brings energy, positivity and a principled sales approach to the Jiminy’s team,” said Anne Carlson, chief executive officer of Jiminy’s. “He also has a demonstrated passion for sustainability and reducing carbon pawprints. I’m beyond excited to see what we’ll be able to build together.”

Sharp’s appointment follows Jiminy’s expansion of its sustainable dog food products. During Global Pet Expo 2022, the company introduced a new insect-based wet dog food. With a recent distribution expansion in Petco, Jiminy’s products are available at independent pet retailers, as well as online via Amazon, Chewy and Jiminy’s e-commerce site.
