MIAMI — LIQ USA Inc. announced that it is lowering prices for its Liq Lickable Dog Treats and Krunch Air Crisps dog treat products in light of widespread inflation impacting several consumer goods categories, including pet products.
According to the company, the move aims to help relieve some of the financial pressure placed on independent retailers and their customers. Effective Aug. 1, prices for products in both treat lines will drop to $9.99. The company noted these products will retain 50% margins for independent retailers.
“Since the launch of our brands in 2022, listening and learning from the indie retail community has been our priority,” said Kristen Buckles, brand manager at LIQ USA Inc. “And what good would listening do if action doesn’t follow.”
In addition to price reductions, LIQ USA has also unveiled new-and-improved packaging for its Krunch dog treat line, featuring re-sealable bags, 15% more product per bag, and a better fit on shelf. The new packaging, which was created in collaboration with independent retailers, was exhibited at SUPERZOO 2023.
LIQ USA also shared it has not compromised its all-natural formulation philosophy for Liq and Krunch treats, and will continue sourcing the majority of its ingredients in the United States.
