NELSON, NEW ZEALAND — Omega Plus, a pet food and treat brand owned by New Zealand King Salmon Company that only recently entered the United States market, has now partnered with Jim Swanson, owner of Catalyst Retail Solutions (CRS), to increase its brand development and sales performance in the United States.
Swanson will provide strategic sales and forecasting support by helping Omega Plus choose retail and distribution partners. This will involve research of how the brand fits into the current US market for human and pet nutrition products, including market data and in-store conversion research.
“Omega Plus recently debuted in the United States, and it’s important to have a strategy that will allow us to utilize the most effective ways of increasing our brand awareness,” said Michael Fabbro, vice president for New Zealand King Salmon USA. “I’m confident that Jim’s established sales and marketing background in the pet industry will allow Omega Plus to reach new heights among potential retailer and distributor partners.”
Swanson created CRS in 2015 to support smaller companies with actionable retail insights to help them stay competitive. He previously served as senior vice president of national accounts at Chuck Latham & Associates, another pet industry-focused sales and marketing partner, where he oversaw the company’s PetSmart and Petco accounts.
