ARDEN HILLS, MINN. — Exclusive Pet Food, which offers several dry pet food and treat brands owned and operated by Land O’Lakes, launched a functional dog treat line on Oct. 27. The new line, Exclusive Comfort Care™, includes three baked biscuit formulas formulated to support digestive health.

The heart-shaped biscuits are an extension of the Comfort Care blend used in the company’s Signature and Infinia pet food formulations. The formula includes a proprietary combination of prebiotics and fiber, including whole grains, probiotics, beet pulp fiber and chicory root.

"So many of us want to treat our dogs in a healthy way," said Michael Hayek, Ph.D., director of companion animal technical innovation at Exclusive Pet Food. "Comfort Care Snacks work alongside a healthy diet and provide a unique way for pet owners to reward their dogs while extending digestive health support between meals."

The treats will be available in pork for puppies and in peanut butter and chicken flavors for adult dogs. Formulations do not include artificial preservatives.

Comfort Care treats will become available to Exclusive Pet Food’s existing retailers on Nov. 1. They will be sold in 1-lb bags.
