CHILLIWACK, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Petcurean, a Canadian premium pet food producer, announced a rebrand April 7 for its NOW FRESH dog and cat food products, including new packaging, its own website and social media channels.

NOW FRESH formulations have also been updated but reflect minor changes that do not affect the pet foods’ nutritional performance or palatability, the company stated. Pet owners currently feeding NOW FRESH do not need to gradually transition their pets to the updated formulas.

The rebrand includes a new tagline for NOW FRESH: “Fresh. Simple. Whole. For every size and stage of life.” New package designs feature updated information to improve key messaging about the products, including that all formulas are made with fresh, de-boned muscle meat, minimally processed without byproduct or meat meals, tailored to all life stages and breed sizes, and contain more than 20 superfood ingredients.

NOW FRESH diets are also formulated with whole eggs and probiotics, and without grains or artificial ingredients. The formulas are designed to deliver Omega fatty acids, balanced levels of protein and fat, functional ingredients such as New Zealand Green Mussels, glucosamine and chondroitin, pumpkin, probiotics and prebiotic fibers, as well as added taurine to support heart and vision health.

Petcurean’s NOW FRESH wet pet food formulas are made with fresh meat, bone broth, and superfood ingredients such as cranberries and flaxseed, all non-GMO. They are designed to complement NOW FRESH dry pet food formulas to support wet and dry combination feeding, ensuring hydration and variety at mealtime.

The brand’s wet pet foods are packaged in sustainable Tetra Pak cartons, which are recyclable, BPA-free. re-closable and more compact for shipping. The cartons are made from the Forest Stewardship Council-certified paperboard and include 67% renewable materials.
