RIVERSIDE, CALIF. — The pet industry is gearing up for this year’s SuperZoo, an event hosted by the World Pet Association (WPA) that will offer industry professionals opportunities for connection, education and innovation. Held from Aug. 16 to 18 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, SuperZoo 2023 will feature more than 1,110 exhibitors, educational seminars, grooming contests, a beach party and more. Show organizers unveiled a new logo ahead of the tradeshow. 

According to WPA, this year’s SuperZoo will be the “must-attend” event for pet professionals throughout a variety of sectors.

“We are eagerly counting down the days until the pet industry's most dynamic and productive event of the year, SuperZoo 2023, gathers in Las Vegas,” said Mike Karsting, senior vice president of events for WPA. “Celebrating the vibrant pet retail community and the dedicated individuals driving its success, SuperZoo stands as the ultimate gathering where industry visionaries and influential professionals converge to revolutionize their businesses, foster inspiration and fuel unprecedented growth.”

SuperZoo 2023 will feature an expansive show floor spanning more than 300,000 square feet with more than 1,100 exhibitors, 520 of which are exclusive to the event, according to WPA. The show floor will include various sections:

  • New Product Showcase, consisting of more than 1,000 new pet products, from nutrition to supplies. A panel of industry experts will highlight top new products during an awards ceremony on Aug. 16;
  • Emerging Brands, providing a peek at more than 85 new pet industry innovators and entrepreneurs;
  • Natural and Health, which will feature the latest developments in pet supplements and preventive health products focused on pet health and wellness;
  • Specialty and Lifestyle, which will focus on boutique products, like accessories;
  • Farm and Feed, offering a range of supplies for commercial ranchers and urban farmers;
  • Aquatics, Reptiles and Small Animals will consist of a collection of products designed for birds, aquatic pets, reptiles and other small pets;
  • Groomer’s Marketplace will include a variety of grooming products;
  • and the International Pavilion, featuring international pet product brands from various countries, including China and Brazil.

The event will also include an educational program with more than 65 sessions led by more than 30 industry experts. Attendees can gain insights through specialized tracks designed for specific areas of the pet industry. Educational sessions will run from Aug. 15 to 16 and will include additional seminars available on Aug. 17.

The education lineup will also include Free Show Floor Talks, covering a wide gamut of industry topics including e-commerce strategies, employee retention, digital marketing, inventory management, grooming techniques, social media marketing and more.

SuperZoo 2023 will include various opportunities for attendees to network and collaborate with other pet professionals. A Beach Party on Aug. 17 at the Mandalay Bay Beach will serve as the “perfect opportunity” for attendees to forge new connections, according to WPA.

Other special features include show floor lounges and a Friday Raffle, which will award select attendees more than $5,000 in prizes. This year’s show will also include new Venture Capitalist Panels hosted on Aug. 18, which will include various startup pitch competitions, including one from Leap Venture Studio; and a new Pet Advocacy Network Townhall, which will be hosted on Aug. 18 and will allow attendees to provide their feedback on industry legislation and regulatory issues.
