CHICAGO — CocoTherapy, an organic virgin coconut and MCT oil brand for pets, has teamed up with Matrix Partners to grow its brand. Matrix Partners, an award-winning marketing and communications agency, will provide social media strategy to aid in brand’s business growth.

Matrix Partners will specifically help CocoTherapy grow its Facebook presence by creating engaging content and ads for the brand’s audience. Matrix’s team will use its expertise in managing pet brand social media channels, as well as staying on top of relevant trends, to raise brand awareness and develop connections with CocoTherapy’s existing and potential consumers.

CocoTherapy, a family-owned and USDA-certified company, was founded in 2009 by sisters Charisa Antigua, chief executive officer and chief science officer, and Carmina O’Connor, president and co-founder. CocoTherapy was founded after Antigua and O’Connor failed to find high-quality and therapeutic coconut oil for their dog. With previous experience in coconut oil production, as well as knowledge of its health and therapeutic benefits, Antigua and O’Connor built CocoTherapy from the ground up. Today, the brand provides products that are formulated with 100% organic and non-GMO coconuts harvested from a family farm.

CocoTherapy’s current product offerings include Organic Coconut Chips, vegan and raw treats, functional pet food mix-ins, coconut and MCT oils, and pet accessories. The company’s products can be used to support pet immune health, weight management and can target specific health issues, including hairballs, acid reflux, thyroid imbalance, yeast infections and more.

“From the start, it was clear that CocoTherapy’s values and goals aligned closely with our own,” said Kristy Boulos, vice president and account supervisor at Matrix Partners. “We’re thrilled to work with such a transparent brand whose unique lineup of products can help animals with a variety of health issues. Our team looks forward to aiding in their growth and development.”
