SAN FRANCISO — V-planet, an international vegan dog food brand under parent company v-dog, announced an expansion into five countries on Feb. 21. The brand’s dog food will begin to appear in India, China, the United Arab Emirates, Cambodia and Chile.

Founded in 2017 as the sister brand of v-dog USA, V-planet manufactures vegan kibble for adult dogs. Currently the brand’s reach extends to 16 total countries, including Canada, Australia, Hong King, Israel, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, New Zealand, Panama, Singapore and Thailand.

“We’re so excited we can now sell our plant-based dog food products to pet parents throughout more countries in Asia and the UAE,” said Darren Middlesworth, president of V-planet. “Our launch into these new areas gives pet parents the opportunity to feed their pets nutritious, vegan dog food.”

V-planet’s dog food is made in Canada and formulated with vegan proteins, including peas, oats and lentils. The dog food contains no corn, gluten, soy or wheat.
