SAN FRANCISCO — V-planet, a producer of plant-based dog food, announced May 21 its vegan dog foods are now available to consumers in Thailand through a partnership with P. Unithai Co., LTD. The distributor will offer V-planet products through e-commerce platform Taily Buddy.

"It's evident that Thailand cares deeply for the well-being of their pets," said Lindsay Rubin, vice president of V-planet. "…Thailand is rated as one of the top 10 countries for vegan and vegetarian travel, it comes as no surprise that the country is taking steps to incorporate plant-based ingredients in their dogs' diet."

The company also sells its vegan dog food online in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Israel, Hong Kong and Panama.

The family-owned, California-based pet food business produces its non-GMO, vegan dog food in Canada. The dog foods are available in large-sized kibble for medium and large dogs and smaller bites for smaller breeds. Both are formulated without corn, gluten, soy or wheat.

"We make v-planet with sensitive dogs in mind," Rubin said. "The ingredients are chosen to prevent any allergies or other negative reactions, and our goal is to give pups across the planet access to delicious, healthy meals."

The company said it plans to continue its global expansion.
