ORRVILLE, OHIO — Rachael Ray® Nutrish®, a premium pet food and treat brand owned by The J.M. Smucker Company, announced July 8 the launch of two new dog foods, both designed for larger dogs weighing 30 lbs or more.
The new Big Life™ formulas include Savory Chicken, Veggies and Barley Recipe, and Hearty Beef, Veggies and Brown Rice Recipe. Each recipe features chicken or beef as the first ingredients. Big Life diets also include Nourish-Bites™, which are kibble-like clusters containing visible vegetable ingredients.
"Big Life was crafted for the big dog in your life and not only does it offer a unique blend with tasty, savory morsels, but it also contains protein and fiber to help keep big dogs full and satisfied," said John Spain, director of marketing for Rachael Ray Nutrish Dog Food. "We hope every big dog can experience not only a taste of the Big Life, but also the good life… through the addition of this food in their diets."
The company also noted the diets support hip and joint health, although it did not list specific ingredients contributing to that claim.
"Big dogs fill our hearts and our arms with love and Big Life is a meal experience we've created for them,” said Rachael Ray. “Keeping their specific needs in mind, it's a winning formula to nourish and help them thrive. Our life now includes a very big dog and we celebrate her and big rescues like her with Big Life."
Big Life dog foods will be sold by Amazon, Chewy and Walmart.
