SOUDERTON, PA. — NCC Automated Systems on April 5 appointed Tom Luft as director of sales and applications engineering.

Luft brings more than 20 years of conveyor industry experience to his new role, in which he will be charged with leading sales strategies, growing existing customer relationships and supporting new opportunities for the packaging automation company.

He will report to John French, director of systems engineering, who joined NCC in March 2021.

Luft comes from Nercon Conveyor Systems, where he spent 11 years in several different roles including director of applications engineering and proposals. He oversaw the Application Proposal Group, Installation Service Group, Spare Parts Team and Modular Conveyor Express Brand while at Nercon. Prior to Nercon, Luft worked with Michels Corporation, Plexus, and with Power Plus as a project manager.

“We are excited to welcome Tom to the team,” said Kevin Mauger, president of NCC Automated Systems. “His career-long experience and application knowledge in the conveyor industry will undoubtedly be an asset to NCC, and we look forward to growing the business and team with his expertise.”

Luft earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Ripon College, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
