GREEN BAY, WIS. — The maker of Vital Essentials pet food and treat brands, Carnivore Meat Company, announced Aug. 3 it will add Vital Essentials’ freeze-dried, hemp-infused dog treats to Festival Foods grocery stores across Wisconsin.
Festival Foods operates 32 stores across the state and will add Vital Essentials’ hemp chews to 30 locations, not including its Fort Atkinson location and its La Crosse store on Copeland Avenue.
Vital Essentials first launched its Freeze-Dried Hemp Chews at SuperZoo in 2019. The chew treats feature custom terpene profiles to target specific health conditions in pets. Each terpene profile is infused with freeze-dried beef.
"Our hemp chews are all natural and made with Wisconsin-sourced hemp oil, which is considered among the highest quality in the United States,” said Melissa Olson, vice president of sales and marketing for Carnivore Meat Company. “And, like our other freeze-dried products, we use only USA-sourced meat and do not include fillers, grains, gluten or artificial ingredients in any of our food or treats."
Formulas include Relax, which targets stress and anxiety; Revive, which can improve focus and energy; and Relief, which can reduce pain and inflammation. Festival Foods will carry all three formulas.
