NORTH PORT, FLA. — Premium pet product distributor, Choice Pet Products, announced April 27 it has added Evanger’s Dog and Cat Food Company products to its distribution network across Florida. The Markham, Ill.-based company’s canned pet food products will be distributed to independent pet retailers across the state.

“By adding a respected brand like Evanger’s to our pet food selections, we’re able to provide customers with another great option,” said Bob Sledzinski, vice president of retail sales and operations for Choice Pet Products. “Consumers are already familiar with Evanger’s excellent offerings, and they’ll be happy to get them from their local distributor.”

Choice Pet Products is a new distributor with deep roots in the pet industry, becoming the company it is today after the merger of Complete Animal Nutrition and SmartPetLove in February.

Evanger’s produces both meat-inclusive and vegetarian diets at its cannery in Markham, partnering with regional farmers and suppliers to keep formulas fresh. The company is celebrating its 85^th year in business.
