MCLEAN, Va. — PROCESS EXPO will offer students entering the food and beverage industry an opportunity to gain experience, attend free educational sessions, earn volunteer hours and network with young professionals and industry veterans alike through its Student Ambassador Program.

The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced August 1 it will launch the program for the first time during the trade show Oct. 8 to 11, 2019 in Chicago.

Students interested in food science, engineering, sales and marketing are invited to apply for the program.

“The opportunities for students are expanding significantly at PROCESS EXPO and this is just one example,” said David Seckman, president and CEO of FPSA. “Launching this ambassadors program gets students involved in the industry early on and can help them make contacts and better understand the opportunities that are available within the industry as they start to consider potential career paths in the upcoming years.”

Students will also have access to a designated area of PROCESS EXPO called the QUAD, featuring an FPSA job board, a career roundtable on October 11, mock interviews and educational seminars, and networking opportunities with other students as well as food and beverage industry professionals throughout the show.

Students can apply for the Student Ambassador Program until Friday, August 16.
