PAWTUCKET, RI. — Paul McCarron has joined Pet Food Experts (PFX) as chief operating officer, effective Oct. 23. He brings a wealth of supply chain and logistics experience to the pet industry distributor.

“At PFX, we pride ourselves on the strength of our supply chain and logistics teams, as well as the efficiency, consistency and reliability of our network, which serves as the foundation of our business,” said Michael Baker, president and chief executive officer of PFX. “Having a COO who recognizes the significance of upholding quality standards during periods of rapid expansion is vital, and Paul is exceptionally qualified to lead the outstanding customer experience that PFX is renowned for.”

McCarron most recently served as vice president of, where he was tasked with restoring the company’s fulfillment operations. Before joining, he served as vice president of supply chain at Staples, where he oversaw operations for 14 fulfillment centers and 20 last-mile delivery fleets across the United States and Canada.

McCarron will be based at PFX’s headquarters in Rhode Island.
