UNITED KINGDOM — Tails.com revealed an expansion with its retail partner, Sainsbury’s, on July 6. Following the success of its brick-and-mortar launch at Sainsbury’s in February, Tails.com has decided to expand its in-store presence to include more than 400 Sainsbury’s locations throughout the United Kingdom.

“We knew Tails.com’s advanced nutrition range had a clear USP, using the insight, and expertise from our award-winning subscription service to offer customers a new and innovative proposition in-store,” said Stephen Hann, retail director at Tails.com. “I’m excited to see the range in even more stores this Summer and looking forward to more feedback from our customers and their dogs.

“We’re getting great insights and feedback from our customers and their dogs on how to improve the experience with our advanced nutrition range moving forward,” Hann added.

Tails.com originally launched its first brick-and-mortar dog food line — Nourish & Protect — in 108 Sainsbury’s locations. The pet food is paired with a digital service that provides customers with personalized portion guidelines for their pets to help support weight management.

“Tails.com’s advanced nutrition proposition is distinctive, contemporary and anchored in nutritional expertise with veterinary approval,” said Nicole Tipping, buyer at Sainsbury’s. “It is early days for a new range, but we’re really encouraged to see how well it has been received and I’m excited to see how it can continue to grow across our Sainsbury’s stores.”
