YORK, PA. — JLS Automation is expanding its virtual support capabilities with JLS© View, a “mixed reality” tool using Microsoft HoloLens 2 technology. Customers can use a headset with a mounted lens to create a live stream of their point of view, fed directly to the computer screen of JLS support staff.

The technology can be used to troubleshoot packaging and machine issues, whether the customer is located a few blocks away or halfway around the world, in real time.

JLS View remote support“JLS View is the link that makes training easier from anywhere at any time,” said Bill Stratford, director of aftermarket sales and services at JLS Automation. “JLS View helps us be the virtual boots on the ground and be hand-in-hand with our customers to help support them instantly.”

JLS View can also decrease the time it takes to address production problems, as support staff members can instantly see and diagnose the issue remotely. It can also eliminate travel times and the cost of travel.

The tool can also be used for technical support purposes, such as formulation and production modifications based on the needs of each individual customer.
