IRVING, TEXAS — After the appointment of Tim Batterson as its new president and chief executive officer, Animal Supply Company (ASC) has announced four other leadership changes to support the pet food and supply distributor’s growth.

Andrey Legkiy has been promoted to senior vice president of operations; Jill Shoush’s role as senior vice president of sales has been expanded to include e-commerce sales and customer experience; Mike Neylon has been promoted to senior vice president of vendor management and marketing; and Danny Selman will transition to vice president of business development.

“The ASC leadership team has collective pet industry experience of 80+ years,” Batterson said. “The changes in responsibilities we are announcing today will best align resources for nationwide leadership of operations, sales, customer service, vendor management, and business development to serve our customers and brand partners. This functional alignment focuses our energy to expand our innovative product portfolio, distribution services and digital solutions critical to providing value added services for the pet industry and driving ASC’s growth. In today’s economy, customers need the best of both nationwide distributor capabilities and local presence with deep personal relationships.”

ASC has recently expanded its relationships with several pet industry brands, including Answers Pet Foods, A Pup Above, Stella & Chewy’s, Natural Balance, Nature’s Variety, Open Range, Primal Pet Foods, Pets Global, Tropiclean, Vital Essentials.

“A monumental step in our overall plan was fulfilled in August when a group of our existing institutional investors shared our confidence by infusing significant capital into the Company,” said Batterson. “ASC has the capabilities and determination to deliver the exceptional service and high-quality brands our customers expect and deserve.”

In August, ASC received more than $40 million in capital and acquired equity, raised largely from existing institutional investors, to drive continued growth for the distributor. Shortly following that announcement, ASC and Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, another large pet industry distributor, sacked their merger plans first announced in February.
