PERHAM, Minn. — Tuffy’s Pet Foods, Inc., subsidiary of KLN Enterprises, Inc., announced July 31 it will begin construction on a 170,000-sq.-ft. pet treat manufacturing facility in Delano, Minnesota at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The new facility will be located at 1141 McKinley Parkway in Delano.

Mayor Dale J. Graunke, Tuffy’s executives, Founding Fathers Pet Treats and CRB, the building contractor, will all be in attendance, along with representatives from the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and Pinky Swear Foundation.

The company’s last expansion was in 2015 when it invested $70 million in a new 130,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing factory in Perham.

Founded in 1947, Tuffy’s is a family-owned company in its third generation. It produces three brands of pet food and treats: NutriSource, PureVita and Natural Planet.
