PHOENIX — Stacia Andersen has been named executive vice president of merchandising and customer experience for PetSmart, Inc., where she will manage all merchandising, including buying and sourcing, proprietary brands, and planning and allocation. Andersen will also oversee marketing initiatives such as brand strategy, creative, digital, loyalty and customer relationship management.

Andersen will report to J.K. Symancyk, president and CEO of PetSmart.

“Stacia is an innovative and inspiring retail veteran with a track record of delivering exceptional results across diverse business categories,” Symancyk said. “We continue to focus on putting the customer at the center of everything we do, and we're confident that Stacia is the right leader to strengthen our customer-facing strategy and maximize our merchandising and marketing functions.”

Andersen has more than 20 years of retail and consumer industry experience. She most recently worked for Abercrombie & Fitch as brand president, where she led the transformation of all aspects of its brands and played an important role in developing its omnichannel capabilities.

Prior to that, Andersen held various leadership roles with Target, including senior VP of merchandising for several divisions.

Andersen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Corporate Communications degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.
