ARLINGTON, VA. — The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has announced four staff promotions, recognizing their contributions to advancing AFIA’s mission — “to be the voice of the US animal food industry, influencing policy and connecting people.”

“We are thrilled to announce the promotion of four exceptional team members at AFIA,” said Constance Cullman, president and chief executive officer of AFIA. “These promotions not only acknowledge their individual expertise and hard work but also underscore our commitment to fostering leadership opportunities within the AFIA.”

Effective May 1, the following AFIA staff have been promoted to the following positions:

  • Raamezah Ahmad, formerly manager of graphic and web design, will now be AFIA’s senior manager of graphic and web design.
  • Erica Burson, formerly membership and database specialist, will take on the role of AFIA’s membership manager.
  • Shakera Daley, formerly accounting and administrative specialist, will now be AFIA’s office and certifications manager. She will also take on administrative work within the Safe Feed/ Safe Food certification programs.
  • Lynette Tucker, formerly meetings and events specialist, will now be AFIA’s manager of meetings and sponsorships.

In addition to the staff promotions, the AFIA has changed Taylor Lekin’s title to marketing and program development specialist to better align with the responsibilities of the newly created position.
