DENVER — Leading pet food co-manufacturer Alphia announced the appointment of two new leadership personnel on April 30. Jack Reid has been appointed chief people officer and Cade Culver has been appointed chief growth and transformation officer, effective immediately.

Reid has more than 25 years of experience in human resources, as well as expertise in supporting organizational success through talent development and culture-building initiatives. Prior to joining Alphia, Reid served as chief human resources officer at Spectrum Plastics and vice president of human resources at Pexco. In these positions, he played a key role in shaping each business’s human resources landscape and fostering inclusivity.

“I’m looking forward to stepping into this new role at Alphia and hope to make a positive impact on the team’s culture,” Reid said. “Alphia is at an exciting stage of development and I’m honored to be part of a company that upholds its reputation as the leading manufacturer of pet food and treats.”

Culver brings more than 16 years of experience in the consumer package goods (CPG) industry, as well as in engineering, R&D, sales, business development and customer service, to his new position at Alphia. Before joining Alphia, he served as president of Lassonate Pappas & Company, chief commercial officer at Hearthside Food Solutions, and vice president and general manager of Dole Diversified North America.

“I look forward to contributing to Alphia’s mission to produce safe, quality pet food as we continue to lead the pet industry and create a positive impact with our partners,” Culver said. “Growth and innovation are at the heart of our goals, propelling us forward to continuously enhance the life of pets.”

Reid will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the Alphia team, and Culver will be responsible for supporting Alphia’s business growth and implementing strategies within the company.

“As we continue to expand the leadership team, we are excited to welcome both Cade and Jack to Alphia, marking an exciting step forward for the company,” said David McLain, chief executive officer and president of Alphia. “With their extensive experience and dedication to driving growth and innovation within the pet food industry, I am confident these new team members will help advance the company forward.”
