CHILLIWACK, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Petcurean announced May 18 two additions to its senior management team. Jaimie Turkington has been promoted to chief marketing officer, and Charles Russell has been tapped as vice president of global sales.

Turkington previously served as vice president of sales and marketing for Petcurean in North America and will now transition to lead the company’s global marketing initiatives and inform its Innovation Team. She first joined Petcurean more than 10 years ago. Turkington held various senior marketing roles, including with 2010 Legacies Now and the British Columbia Dairy Foundation, prior to joining the Canadian pet food company.

Charles Russell, vice president of global sales at Petcurean.
“Jaimie’s proven track record as a marketing and business leader, coupled with her infectious passion, enthusiasm, hunger for learning and caring personality, makes her the perfect fit for this new role,” said Rick van Schagen, chief executive officer at Petcurean. “Jaimie was one of the very first people we hired on our marketing team, and we know her creativity and reputation for success will serve us well as she becomes our Company’s new Chief Marketing Officer – a pivotal position as we look to the future. Congratulations Jaimie.”

Russell will oversee global sales efforts across North America and international markets as the company’s new vice president of global sales. He previously served as vice president of international sales and marketing at the company. Before joining Petcurean, Russell served as senior vice president of global sales at Herschel Supply.

“Since joining Petcurean in 2020, Charles Russell has quickly distinguished himself as one of the pet food industry’s most impactful sales and marketing leaders,” said van Schagen. “Our entire leadership team is honoured to have someone of Charles’ calibre serve as our new VP of global sales, as we seek to deepen our connection with valued partners around the world, while also expanding our presence in new markets and territories. Please join me in welcoming Charles to his new role.”

Both Russel and Turkington will report directly to van Schagen.
