Organizer of SuperZoo, an annual pet industry tradeshow held in Las Vegas each August, the World Pet Association (WPA) is a non-profit organization striving to support the industry through education, networking, business tools and research for pet retailers.

Following the cancelation of SuperZoo 2020 due to COVID-19, the association established its WPA365 platform allowing pet professionals to connect and learn year-round. The digital pet product marketplace aims to virtually connect pet product brands with retailers and promote community engagement through online meetings, coaching sessions, educational courses and other on-demand resources. Although SuperZoo has since returned in-person — in full force, no less, as evidenced on the SuperZoo 2022 show floor — WPA365 remains a relevant tool helping buyers connect with brands from anywhere, anytime.

WPA also provides its members with a wide array of educational programming and access to timely market research through partnerships with NielsenIQ and Packaged Facts.

This pet industry association has its finger on the pulse of key industry trends and challenges, including legislative happenings, trade topics, food safety matters, and ingredient and formulation trends. According to WPA President Vic Mason, the association is already counting down the days until SuperZoo 2023.
