PALMETTO, FLA. — Distributor Choice Pet Products has appointed Janet Carter Smith to the role of president. As the company’s first president, Carter Smith will assume day-to-day leadership, playing a key role in the distributor’s continued growth.

Carter Smith has more than 25 years of experience in strategy and operational development in sales, marketing and retail. She recently received the 2022 Award for Business Excellence from the DSN Top Women in Health & Wellness. Alongside her experience, Carter Smith also has a passion for animal welfare. She founded Friends 4 Life, a non-profit animal rescue group, and managed the group for more than 10 years.

At Choice Pet Products, Carter Smith will help expand the company’s employee base, as well as its sales, logistics and operations, while enforcing the company’s vision. She will also implement strategies to help Choice Pet Products’ customers and partners expand their businesses.
