BERKELEY, CALIF. — Jiminy’s has been recognized in Inc. Magazine’s annual 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list, ranking at No. 289 for its innovative insect-based dog foods and treats. Along with the achievement, the company also announced an expansion of its sustainable product portfolio to be debuted at SuperZoo 2022.

The 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list recognizes companies spanning a variety of industries, including those in the pet industry.

“It’s an honor to make our debut on Inc. Magazine’s annual list of the 5000 Fastest Growing Companies at No. 289,” said Anne Carlson, founder and chief executive officer of Jiminy’s. “Recognition for outstanding growth (across industries) from Inc. Magazine gives us great momentum going into our biggest SuperZoo yet.”

According to the company, its high ranking proves its strong ability to overcome the unprecedented supply chain challenges the pet food industry has been facing, as well as its ability to compete in the premium pet space. According to Inc.’s listing, Jiminy’s has experienced 1,942% revenue growth from 2018 to 2021.

Jiminy’s achievement comes as the company plans to debut two net wet pet food formulas at SuperZoo, held Aug. 23 to 25 in Las Vegas. The company will showcase its new Cravin’ Cricket Entrée and Good Grub Entrée dog food formulas.

Cravin’ Cricket Entrée can be served as a complete-and-balanced meal or food topper to provide full nutrition to dogs who are picky eaters. The new fresh wet food is formulated with carrots, green beans, pumpkin and crickets, and is cooked fresh at a low temperature and under high pressure to protect nutrients and ensure food safety.

Good Grub Entrée is a complete-and-balanced meal that can also serve as a food topper for dogs with food sensitivities. The fresh food is formulated with carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes, flaxseed, pumpkin and insect-based protein from black soldier fly larvae (BSFL). The Good Grub Entrée is cooked similarly to Jiminy’s Cravin’ Cricket Entrée formula.

Both new wet dog foods are packaged in recyclable Tetra Pack cartons.

“At Jiminy’s, we are dedicated to improving the health of our pets and the planet,” Carlson said. “With the addition of our Cravin’ Cricket and Good Grub Entrées, Jiminy’s now offers even more alternative protein food options for dogs and pet parents.”

As well as debuting new products, Carlson will be leading a panel, Insect Protein Expert Panel: The Next Trend, at SuperZoo next Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pacific Time.
