DEERFIELD BEACH, FLA. — Nature Gnaws celebrated its five-year business anniversary on Sept. 28. The company reflected on several business development successes recorded over the last half decade, including production and retail expansions and workforce growth.

“It’s amazing to me that we’ve grown so much in such a short period of time,” said Jay Mokbel, co-founder and chief operating officer at Nature Gnaws. “We have 70 employees now that I feel are a part of my family. We’re a family-run business and despite our rapid growth, we have stayed true to our vision of running the company with honesty and kindness, all while getting the work done. It hasn’t all been easy, but it certainly has been fun, and we are happy to celebrate this incredible moment with our team and our customers.”

Since it was founded, the natural dog chew company has expanded production to include an additional facility for packing and shipping. It has added its products to Petco stores to become more accessible to pet owners and continued local hiring efforts in Deerfield Beach.

“We are so taken aback by the love and support we are receiving from our customers, from shelters that we donate to, partners and our team,” said Steve Mamak, chief executive officer at Nature Gnaws. “We’ve been working hard and just goes to show that having the right people by your side makes it worth it. We have big moves in store for the next five years and I can’t wait to see what happens.”
