ST. FRANCIS, WIS. — The parent company of Gott Pet Products, Wixon, Inc., has announced a $15 million investment in its production spaces and capabilities to meet growing demand for its Hound & Gatos and Charlee Bear pet food and treat brands.
“Based on the escalating annual growth rate and steadily increasing retail sales, it became clear that we would need more room for success,” said Peter Gottsacker, president of Wixon and Gott Pet Products.
The company will take several approaches to bolster its manufacturing efforts. One of these includes purchasing a 100,000-square-foot facility near its Wisconsin headquarters. This development is expected to create 40 new jobs in the area over the next three years.
Additionally, Wixon and Gott Pet Products will purchase new manufacturing and packaging machinery to support production of its super premium pet foods and natural dog treats.
“This extensive expansion will enable us to meet the needs of our retailer partners for years to come,” noted Patrick McGarry, chief operating officer of Gott Pet Products.
Wixon, Inc. was founded in 1907 as a family-owned manufacturer of spice blends, seasonings and flavor modifiers.
