With the United States and China still unable to reach an agreement, the tariff war between the two countries is heating up. 

President Donald Trump announced a new universal minimum tariff of 10% on all goods imported to the United States, including food and agricultural products.

The association will use grant funds to continue to promote the safety and quality of US pet food in 18 different countries.  

The pet food and treat market keeps expanding as the industry sets its sights on record sales by 2030. 

The association plans to support the animal feed and pet food industries by focusing on regulatory practices, supply chain challenges, trade, sustainability and more.

According to the Thai Pet Food Trade Association, the country became the world’s third largest pet food exporter in 2021.

The 1,010,430-square-foot facility in Thailand will produce wet cat food.

With tensions between Russia and Ukraine rising high, global agriculture markets are seeing negative effects.

Agricultural exports in 2021 increased by 18% from 2020 and have surpassed the previous record set in 2014.
