BioscienZ and CREMER Sustainable Nutrition identified innovative ways to transform agricultural byproducts into pet food ingredients.

The organization’s “Pet Sustainability Impact Unleashed” will be held during the Pet Summit 2025 in March. 

Cultivated seafood producer UMAMI Bioworks is among the many startups that will participate in the program.

The funding will enable the association to drive new sustainability initiatives in the pet industry.

Sustainability demands and supply chain challenges push formulators toward new and creative pet nutrition ingredients. 

The company has spun out from Aker BioMarine as a sustainable krill supplier.

The grant was given to boost domestic organic fertilizer production and regenerative agriculture. 

Oberland Agriscience’s 108,000-square-foot plant will produce BSFL-based ingredients for animal nutrition.

In addition to seeking Novel Food approval in the EU, the company is also seeking GRAS status in the US.

The ingredient supplier announced the appointment of Coen Esser as global business director of animal nutrition and health.
