STATESVILLE, NC. — A new pet retailer has entered the market in North Carolina, aiming to offer specialty-level service through an online format. The platform, Miracle Pet Supply (miraclepetsupply.com), held a grand opening on Feb. 1.
Miracle Pet Supply said its mission is “redefine the pet supply experience” by offering high-quality, innovative solutions to support pet care, health and wellbeing. The online platform will a carry a wide range of products, including treats, accessories and health products for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds and fish, all from trustworthy industry brands, according to Miracle Pet Supply.
“Our grand opening marks the beginning of a new era in pet care, offering not just products but solutions to enhance the health and happiness of pets,” said Parker Jeffreys, founder of Miracle Pet Supply.
Miracle Pet Supply has entered a highly competitive online pet product marketplace currently dominated by big box players, and at a time when brick-and-mortar pet retailers are losing share to their e-commerce competitors.
According to Packaged Facts, brick-and-mortar pet product sales share decreased from 84% in 2017 to 65% in 2022, while e-commerce sales share increased from 16% to 35% over the same period. Additionally, e-commerce giants Chewy, Amazon and Walmart hold a lion’s share of online pet care sales. Overall, e-commerce pet care sales are estimated to reach $57.7 billion by 2030, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
