SUNRISE, FLA. — Specialty pet supply retailer Pet Supermarket recently welcomed Rich Tannenbaum as its new chief executive officer. In the leadership role, Tannenbaum will steer the retailer’s strategic direction and lead the execution of multi-year growth and expansion plans.

Tannenbaum has 25 years of experience in retail, e-commerce and the consumer goods industry. Most recently, he led Five Below’s global supply chain and operations teams, in which he helped spearhead the retailer’s multinational logistics expansion. Tannenbaum also brings experience from The Vitamin Shopper and PetSmart with a history of improving customer experience.

According to Pet Supermarket, Tannenbaum’s commitment to nurturing company culture, purpose and values will help the retailer enhance its community focus. His experience will provide Pet Supermarket with value as it expands its selection of products and services.

As CEO, Tannenbaum will help further advance Pet Supermarket’s collaboration with its partners, vendors and suppliers to boost its value and enable it to support consumers and pets.

Tannenbaum is an engineering graduate of Pennsylvania State University and has a personal passion for pets as a pet parent to a German Shepard, a Cavapoo and three fish.
