KANSAS CITY, MO. — Global sustainable engineering, architecture, constructing and consulting company CRB announced July 27 the appointment of Carl Williams to vice president of environmental health and safety (EHS). Williams joins the firm with nearly 40 years of experience in EHS management, regulatory compliance, risk assessment and implementation.

“Carl’s impressive experience and track record of implementing and driving safety programs within large organizations will benefit clients and advance our goal of making sure every person associated with CRB work goes home safe, every day,” said Sam Kitchell, chief operating officer at CRB.

Williams will spearhead CRB’s EHS strategy across all divisions to advance sustainability, as well as safety for the company’s employees, customers and communities. He will be tasked with working across teams to design and execute such solutions.

“From the office to the jobsite, everyone at CRB has a special accountability for the safety and wellbeing of their colleagues and clients,” Williams said. “That can’t happen without deeply rooted individual commitment, a strong company culture, and rigorous safety systems that anticipate and solve challenges before they arise. I am excited to support and advance CRB’s comprehensive safety program across the organization.”

Prior to joining CRB, Williams held various health and safety leadership positions with Micron Technology, M+W Group and Texas Instruments. He earned a Bachelor of Science in fire protection and safety engineering technology from Oklahoma State University.
