LAWRENCE, KAN. — HorizonPSI and Frazer-Nash Manufacturing have partnered to offer pet food processors Frazer-Nash’s Sanitary Extruder Hood as an optional part on HorizonPSI’s Sanitary Negative Airlift System. According to HorizonPSI, the combination of the systems creates the most sanitary, easy-to-maintain and cost-effective Negative Airlift system on today’s market.

The Negative Airlift Solution conveys pet food products from an extruder to a dryer, minimizing risks for contamination and product loss. HorizonPSI’s system also allows processors to conform to all FSMA and GFSI production standards, ensuring sanitation and safety. The system also provides easy access for cleaning.

To further boost the benefits of its Negative Airlift Solution, HorizonPSI partnered with Frazer-Nash, adding the company’s Sanitary Extruder Hood to its equipment.

“Being the best possible partner to our customers means that we proudly partner with other industry leaders when it creates the best possible solution,” said Wes Kuhl, president of HorizonPSI. “This is why we chose to partner with Frazer-Nash to offer our customers their Sanitary Extruder Hood, providing customers with operational cost savings and ease of use.”

Frazer-Nash’s Sanitary Extruder Hood offers more cost savings over time compared to other hood options, according to the company. The hood allows for limited kibble loss, has less downtime and low maintenance costs. According to Frazer-Nash, over a three-year period its hood has proven to be cheaper to purchase and operate compared to similar solutions.

HorizonPSI’s engineers collaborated with Frazer-Nash to ensure the hood seamlessly works with its Negative Airlift System.

“Partnering with HorizonPSI was an easy decision for us,” said Paul Mortlock, managing director of Frazer-Nash. “HorizonPSI shares our commitment to innovation and customer service. Together, we create the best negative airlift solution available.”
