NEW YORK — On Nov. 1, Feline Natural, a brand by Natural Pet Food Group, detailed an expansion to its product offerings with new single-protein, freeze-dried cat foods. The diets are formulated with beef, lamb and chicken proteins.

Formulated to meet AAFCO requirements, the new Feline Natural Freeze-Dried diets are complete-and-balanced and contain limited ingredients to support all cats, including those with specialized diet restrictions or food sensitivities.

The formulas are available in Beef Feast, Lamb Feast and Chicken Feast, with each containing 98% meat and organs sourced from grass-fed, free-range beef and lamb or cage-free chicken, and wholefoods sourced from New Zealand. As well as containing high levels of meat, Feline Natural Freeze-Dried diets are also low in carbohydrates and grain-free.

“Freeze-dried pet food like Feline Natural, is a minimally processed, raw diet that has had the water content removed and is then rehydrated before feeding,” said Josie Gollan, DVM, veterinary partner at Feline Natural. “Like most raw diets, when compared to other pet foods, these are typically higher in protein and amino acid bioavailability and richer in natural micronutrients, antioxidants and phytonutrients as they haven’t been destroyed by the cooking process.”

The new Feline Natural formulas will be available in 11-oz packages for $35.69 in the United States and for $35.49 in Canada.
