SAN DIEGO — Petco Health and Wellness Company, Inc. announced Dec. 6 the appointment of Iris Yen as advisor to its board of directors. She will also serve as board observer, where she will provide expertise on digital retail strategies and brand building.

Yen is currently the vice president of direct digital commerce for NIKE, Inc.’s global business, where she manages the company’s international digital portfolio including the Nike app, SNKRS, Nike Run Club, Nike Training Club and Nike Membership.

Yen’s previous roles at Nike include vice president of direct digital commerce for the company’s Greater China division, where she oversaw a 50% annual growth and profit expansion from the launch of the Nike App, livestreaming, Tmall and WeChat partner programs. She has been with Nike since 2016, when she joined as global vice president of strategy.

Before joining Nike, Yen served in various leadership roles at Gap Inc., including vice president of corporate strategy at Gap, and has held positions on the Nike Foundation board and on Gap’s Political Action Committee. She has also served as an executive sponsor for the Asian-American networks with Nike and Gap, and is a Stanford Women on Boards member.
