DELFT, NETHERLANDS — Veramaris announced early this month it has welcomed Anthony Lin to its aquaculture and pet food team, effective Sept. 1. Lin joins the company as global marketing and communications director, where he will lead the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy for EPA & DHA Omega 3 algae oil in animal nutrition applications.
Prior to joining Veramaris, Lin has worked with Mars, Unilever and Upfield throughout his career. He will bring his career-cultivated marketing insights and skills to his new role.
“Bringing on Anthony is a huge coup for Veramaris. His considerable experience in the global food marketing industry will be immensely valuable to us as we continue to deepen our collaboration with partners across our value chain,” said Karim Kurmaly, chief executive officer of Veramaris. “He has a proven track record in growing food categories, partnering with global retail and foodservice brands, as well as skills in digital marketing and innovation. I’ve no doubt that Anthony will be a huge asset to Veramaris and I am looking forward to working with him as we continue to support the continued sustainable growth of aquaculture.”
The appointment of Lin marks Veramaris’s third new leadership hire so far this year, including Victoria Parr as business development director of North America and Johan Brouwer as director of international business development.
“I am genuinely excited to be joining Veramaris and being part of this passionate, insurgent team,” Lin said. “There’s no question that consumers are searching the shelves for more sustainable and nutritious options. With Veramaris’ unique Omega-3 algae oil, we have an amazing opportunity to help the aquaculture industry, retailers, hospitality and pet food manufacturers deliver the products people are asking for whilst reducing their impact on the planet.”
