HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Ancestry Pet Food has launched three new formulas of meat-focused wet dog food. Each recipe is formulated without byproducts, rendered animal fats, the preservatives BHT [butylated hydroxytoluene] and ethoxyquin, or GMOs.

The new formulas include Look Out!, a grain-free duck recipe, Farmland, a grain-free chicken formula touting 95% protein per serving, and a Lamb Dinner recipe with rice.

Ancestry Pet Food is a subsidiary of Health Extension Pet Care, which acquired Ancestry in January 2020.

“These canned recipes are a major addition to the Ancestry Pet Food line—and an exciting way to move the Ancestry brand forward,” said Brad Gruber, president of Health Extension.

Ancestry’s new wet dog foods are recommended at $2.99 per 12.5-oz can and are also available in cases of 12 cans.
