Pet Fair Asia is hosting a weeklong virtual business summit specifically for North American pet businesses to connect with partners in Asia next week from Nov. 16 to 20. The event, Pet Link Asia @ North America, will feature a virtual exhibition hall as well as seminars on global and regional industry trends, insights and outlooks.

The event is sponsored by the World Pet Association (WPA) and Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (PIJAC) Canada, and supported by the American Pet Products Association (APPA).

Pet food manufacturers, suppliers and businesses in other pet industry segments will participate. Product and procurement managers, distributors, retailers and buyers, and other pet industry professionals are encouraged to attend.

Pet Fair Link @ North America will host two days of programming and three days of meetings. The first day of the event, Nov. 16, will include an International Pet Industry Summit on North American trends and outlooks, as well as an open-floor of virtual exhibitors.

Topics to be presented on Nov. 16 include a state-of-the-industry report from Steve King, president of APPA, Dave Bolen and chief executive officer of The Bolen Group, followed by “New Trends in the Canadian Pet Market” and a brief presentation on the Mexican pet market.

Additionally, two panel discussions will highlight “Transformations in US Pet Retail” and supporting independent retailers.

Day two of the virtual conference will include insights on the Chinese and Southeast Asian pet markets, including discussions on new manufacturing and market trends throughout Asia.
