NEW YORK — Wolf Spring, a pet nutrition startup founded in May 2019, launched its first pet product on Aug. 25, a vitamin-enhanced water supplement for dogs of all ages.

The products are 100% natural and plant-based. Formulas were developed by a team of veterinarians and animal nutrition experts. They are manufactured in the United States. The product delivers vitamins and can also be a source of added hydration to a dog diet.

According to the company, it has sold more than 6,000 bottles of its Wolf Spring water supplement over the last four months. The company has posted 50% to 70% growth month-over-month since the soft launch of its water supplements in May, and plans to hold a seed funding round in the fourth quarter of this year.

Early investors in Wolf Spring include senior angel investors from top-tier consumer funds, the company stated.

“The pet industry has historically been recession-proof and continues to show strong resilience to the pandemic. With dog adoptions skyrocketing and pet owners spending more time with their dogs, people are focusing on their pet’s health more than ever before. Wolf Spring is here to help owners take better care of their dogs everyday, one drop at a time,” said Xavier Delestrade, co-founder of Wolf Spring.

Company founders Etienne Legangneux and Delestrade combined their previous CPG knowledge to develop Wolf Spring. Legangneux previously worked in the pet industry as a venture capitalist for Verlinvest, an early investor in Chewy.com. Delestrade was a top-level executive at DogBuddy.com, which was acquired by Rover.com in 2018.

“In this new category, we hope to offer functional beverages to dogs for every need including, weight management, sport, calming and more,” Legangneux said.

Wolf Spring water supplements for dogs are available to buy at www.wolfspring.dog and on Amazon. The product was ranked No. 1 in Amazon Launchpad Pets’ new releases section shortly after it was launched, according to the company.
