NEW YORK — Wolf Spring, a vitamin-enhanced water supplement brand for dogs that launched its first products nearly one year ago today, announced Aug. 24 it has raised $2 million in its latest seed funding round. The company plans to use investments to grow its product portfolio and expand distribution.

Investments were made by angel investors Michael Frizell, founder of Pet Circle, Richard Setterwall, founder of Dogbuddy.com, and Baron Davis, an investor in Vitamin Water and two-time NBA All-Star. Pet-focused investments fund directors also contributed to the seed round, including those at Harvard and INSEAD Business Angel.

"We have been amazed at how fast dog parents have adopted Wolf Spring since our launch a year ago,” said Etienne Legangneux, co-founder of Wolf Spring. “They immediately understood the benefits of our all-natural formulas and saw a real difference in their pup's health, which is the best reward for us. With hundreds of pet stores already carrying us all over the country and tens of thousands of bottles sold online, we are proud to have helped so many dogs upgrade their nutrition."

Wolf Spring launched three veterinarian-developed water supplement formulas in the summer of 2020, each offering functional health benefits such as gut health, mobility and skin health. Most recently, the company launched a “calming” formula to ease separation anxiety in dogs.

The company stated it will accelerate expansion “both online and offline” with its new funding.

"This seed round is an important milestone for the company,” added Xavier Delestrade, co-founder of Wolf Spring. “We have gathered a base of very knowledgeable investors, experienced in the consumer and the pet industries. They will be critical to help us scale while providing the best products for dog parents all over the country. We want to make Wolf Spring the modern one stop shop for dog's wellness and are already working on a lot of new formulas which we cannot wait to share with our consumers."
