The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Nov. 14 that Go Raw, LLC, a Cottonwood, Utah-based raw pet food manufacturer, is voluntarily recalling its Quest Beef Cat Food products due to potential Salmonella contamination.

The recall was prompted after the Minnesota Department of Agriculture discovered samples of the product tested positive for Salmonella, although Go Raw reportedly tested the product as well and found a negative result, according to the FDA.

Recalled products include 2-lb. bags of Quest Beef Cat Food, Lot N128 with the UPC code 6-91730-17101-8. The product was shipped throughout the US.

No human or animal illnesses have been reported in connection to the recall so far.
